About Peach Blossom Pediatrics

Peach Blossom Pediatrics was created in 2023 by Dr. Whitney Fose out of a passionate desire to provide a better style of care to her patients.

As the healthcare industry has been overrun by corporations and insurance executives, the patients, their families, and the providers caring for them are suffering for it. Patients are spending more on their healthcare than ever before, and physicians are incentivized to see more patients in order to meet rising costs. This means that patients often do not have enough time with their doctor to have all of their needs addressed. This increases the chances of medical problems remaining undiagnosed for prolonged periods of time, along with increased visits to urgent cares and emergency rooms, patient dissatisfaction and distrust of the medical profession. All the while physicians suffer from burn-out, job dissatisfaction, and financial strain in an attempt to meet the rising demand.

About DPC

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is part of the answer to a broken healthcare system

DPC practices aim to eliminate the corporate middlemen to bring healthcare back to its roots: The doctor-patient relationship, thereby healing the wounds suffered by the patients and their physicians. The best pediatrician is the one who truly takes their time to listen to the concerns of the patients and their families. A DPC model of care allows Peach Blossom Pediatrics to provide exactly that, by offering monthly memberships which include unlimited unhurried well child-care, chronic illness management, and acute care visits in our Woodstock office, along with 24 hour per day, 7 days per week access to the pediatrician via talk, text, or email. All concerns will be addressed, all questions answered, and every effort will be made to prevent illness through a focus on preventive healthcare. You can also receive care for your children in your own home when the need arises, which can be particularly beneficial in the newborn period!

Not sure about the whole membership thing?

We offer a wide range of non-member services as well!

Why visit a doc-in-the-box urgent care when your child is sick, when you can see a board-certified pediatrician same day without waiting hours and hours? Our acute visits will include any necessary testing for common illnesses including strep, flu, COVID, and RSV using state-of-the-art 99.9% accurate rapid molecular testing. A one-time visit for a sports physical will get you more bang for your buck with us than at a walk-in clinic as well, as it will include a comprehensive cardiac risk assessment, complete with an EKG if indicated by history or exam. You are also welcome to visit with us for a second opinion regarding your child’s more complex issues that you just haven’t been able to get answered - bring previous records and results and we’ll sit down and try to connect the dots and solve the puzzle together with you. And please-oh-please, don’t have your child’s ears pierced at the mall! We offer medical ear piercing using the Blomdahl system, which uses sterile equipment and medical-grade plastic jewelry guaranteed to reduce the risk of allergy.

About Dr. Whitney

Who would be crazy enough to do something like this?

Dr. Whitney Fose was born and (mostly) raised in the suburbs of Chicago, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Medical Degree from Rush Medical College. After finishing her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, she moved back to Chicagoland to settle in as a pediatrician in a large group practice. After 14 years, she knew something needed to change! She moved with her husband, Vince, and their two girls, Penny and Sadie, here to Woodstock, Georgia for better weather and fresh start professionally. She enjoyed a year practicing with a small group in the area before deciding to take the leap into opening her own practice!

Dr. Whitney’s approach to patient care is collaborative and child-centered. She prefers communicating directly with the child when age-appropriate and meeting them where they are (even if she needs to do their exam on the floor under the table!). She practices evidence-based medicine whenever possible, but is also a realist and will offer solutions that work for each unique family situation. Oh, and she loves having fun with kids and telling corny jokes!

With a particular passion for the science of human lactation and the art of breastfeeding, Dr. Whitney has sought additional training in lactation care. Now, having completed the educational program, she’ll sit for the exam in April 2024 to officially become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Lactation services will be offered through a special membership geared toward newborns (The Fourth Trimester Package) and as an a la carte service for members and non-members alike.

When not playing doctor, she can be found running, reading, crocheting, singing at church, acting in a community theater production or spending time with her family.
